We’re looking for a Fractional Financial Analyst to join our team—a skilled professional who excels at managing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the financial health of multiple clients. Job Summary:

As a Fractional Financial Analyst with Advanceo, you’ll be at the heart of our clients’ financial operations, providing guidance across multiple sectors. You’ll be an integral part of financial processes such as reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, financial analysis, KPIs, and financial governance. Partnering with senior management, you’ll offer strategic insights that drive financial clarity and operational efficiency, helping each client maintain financial stability and achieve growth.

This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented professional who thrives in a multi-client environment, balancing both hands-on financial management with big-picture strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to implement best practices, optimize financial processes, and play an important role in the long-term success of the businesses you support.

At Advanceo, we also engage in high-level corporate finance projects, helping clients navigate growth and expansion initiatives. You’ll be involved in everything from idea generation, financial modeling, and corporate governance ensuring smooth post-acquisition integration and tackling complex challenges as they arise. By combining our financial expertise with internal teams, you’ll play an instrumental role in turning our clients’ strategic goals into reality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as their trusted financial advisor.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses, offering insights to guide key business decisions for clients.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and support the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple clients.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and support the budgeting and forecasting processes for clients, ensuring alignment with their specific business objectives.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and scalability for each client.

  • Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, advising clients on opportunities for cost reduction and improved financial performance.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure financial stability and proper funding for both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.

  • Audit Support: Support internal and external audits to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 1 year in a FP&A and/or Advisory role; experience in a fractional, multi-client environment is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA certification a plus.

  • Customer Facing: Strong professional and interpersonal skills, at ease with working and advising senior management, owners, and founders.

  • Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting, financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting; advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and Power BI (ERP systems and accounting software preferred).

  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple clients and deadlines. A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Results driven and resourceful. Curious and looking to learn, improve, and adapt.

  • Flexibility: Comfortable managing diverse financial operations across multiple industries and clients simultaneously.


Benefits & Role:

  • Reports to: Finance Director

  • Type: Hybrid (On-site at Clients, up to 1-2 days per week, remote 3-4 days per week)

  • Industry: Multi (Agribusiness, Transport, Logistics, Manufacturing, Industrial, Tech)

  • Compensation: An annual base salary of $75,000-$85,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus of 5%

  • Work Schedule: Flexible work schedule

  • Type: Permanent full-time position (40 hours, Monday to Friday, daytime)

  • Starting: January 2025

  • Travel: Must be able to visit and work on-site at Client’s locations (valid driver’s license and car). Reasonable car allowance paid per km per CRA guidelines

  • Insurance: Health, dental, and vision insurance – $1,000 fixed amount paid out in additional to base salary

  • Wellness fund: $500, also known as a wellness allowance to support employee health and well-being (ex: gym memberships, sports membership/fees, exercise classes, etc.)

  • Retirement: Retirement savings (RRSP or VRSP) plan contribution

  • Vacation: Minimum 3 weeks paid vacation plus holidays

  • Personal days: 5 paid personal days off annually (including sick days)

  • Development: Professional development opportunities – internal training, structured continuous learning, other internal roles
